Holiday Inn Express Rochester - Greece by IHG

The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was EXTREMELY courteous, helpful, accommodating and attentive. Two workers in particular were named David and Sarah. They worked in the kitchen area during breakfast and was always seen smiling and keeping the place tidy. When we first arrived in the evening (around 7 pm) of 4/27/23, the staff on duty was absolutely amazing. The gentleman made sure we had a crib for our baby and the other 2 ladies were extremely generous and helpful during our check in. The maid service and room cleaner knocked on our door and asked if we needed anything which I thought was absolutely great. I will definitely be here again on my next trip to Rochester

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I found the room comfortable. The bed is good. Breakfast was great. I didn’t find the bathroom small but I believe the toilet/door placement is odd. Overall a great stay and I would stay again.

Breakfast was ok but not the best. Eggs were cooked well. Pancake maker was ok but not great. Oatmeal was not good and cinnamon rolls were dry. Shower was hot Room was clean. Pillows were too soft and flimsy.

You came to Rochester on business staying at this hotel. Having grown up in Rochester right around the corner from Greece. It was a nice visit home. The staff in this hotel are outstanding! During my stay I even received a text asking how my stay was. I always suspect these kind of text messages are not really read by anybody. So I texted back and said if they responded to me by saying Go Bills I'd leave a review. Although I was doing this to be kind of silly, it does serve the purpose to show that this hotel actually takes the time to read their comments and appreciate their guests, which I find is a rare quality these days. I would like to point out a few things that stood out to me. My company rented me a double Queen room, I always find these rooms to be a bit cool. So I take the blanket off the second bed and put it on the first bed. After the first night, instead of making the second bed with the new blanket, the bed I used was now made perfectly with two blankets instead which was very impressive to me. My first night I left some money on the bedside when I returned from work everything was still accounted for. On day two I left my Xbox One headset and controller underneath the TV again I came back everything was in place and accounted for which I feel speaks highly to the staff's professionalism and trust. I'd also like to give a shout out to their staff in the morning who always greeted me with a smile exceedingly pleasant even at 6:00 a.m. honestly you couldn't ask for a better stay! Overall I enjoyed 4 days with them and each day was outstanding. Well done indeed!... Go Bills

Good hotel, associates are kind and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, their main proteins being pork and turkey sausage rounds, and very occasional bacon. They offer a pancake maker instead of a waffle iron. Breakfast hours are confusing, on the displays it appears that Breakfast is at 6:30 however it is served a 6 on weekdays, and only at 7 on weekends. We requested more toilet paper at the front desk and found that the supplier had been delayed and we were offered an angel soft brand tissue box instead, which was surprisingly very satisfactory considering the situation. Laundry on premises is clean and functional. The bathroom is on the small side, with the sink outside, but has a traditional closing door with a lock as opposed to sliding. The hallway was loud, but it didn't carry into my room.

I only want there to use the pool to be honest I promised my granddaughters I would take them swimming so we did

The staff was very nice! In our room, we found the matres to be to firm. The room was clean and typical. Good location for restaurants, a variety of locations within walking distance.

This review is more about the bad reviews than the hotel. For you people who complain about loud people in some of the rooms, it’s not the hotel’s fault. For the people who complain about the busy street noise, it's not the hotel’s fault. You booked the hotel that’s in front of a busy street. If you have insomnia don't blame the hotel, see a doctor! STOP WRITING STUPID REVIEWS. Give an honest review about the hotel and staff and not about the people staying there. Unfortunately not all people that stay at hotels are great! One of our friends from Rochester was nice enough to book this hotel for us since we’re from out of town and when we saw some of the reviews, we almost wanted to cancel. LUCKILY WE DID NOT. The hotel was very clean, up to date, with a very comfortable bed, courteous staff, and a wonderful complimentary breakfast. What more can you ask for?? When reviewing a hotel look first at the hotel star qualification and what you paid for it!! Don’t expect 5 star service or location from a 2 or 3 star hotel price! So take that stick out of your rear-end if you're going to stay at a hotel like this. This hotel gives you more than its star qualification!!
